Aulani ~ A Favorite Family Vacation CHRISTMAS

Located in Ko’Olina on the beautiful island of Oahu, Aulani brings the best of the best to your vacation. Lush, green, mountains, rainbows, beaches, the Pacific ocean, top-notch accommodations plus the unmatched quality and service only Disney can provide make Aulani a HOLIDAY destination you will never forget!

My Christmas season just isn’t complete until Bing Crosby sings “Mele Kalikimaka” at least once. Even better than that, though, is hearing this happy holiday tune en route to the airport for a trip to Hawaii for Christmas! And what’s still better!? Spending Christmas at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa on the island of Oahu! Aulani makes the season even more special, and while some prefer to have a White Christmas, I’ll take “Mele Kalikimaka” on the beach with the sun on my face! Here are a few reasons Aulani makes this holiday all the more memorable.

Caroling

In the days leading up to Christmas, you can find the Aulani Christmas carolers throughout the resort singing many different songs.  Yes, they do sing “Mele Kalikimaka!”

Beyond being a cool thing to see and hear, the carolers are incredibly talented and listening to them brought joy to our world!

Santa

Wait?! I know HIM! On Christmas Eve, the big guy himself makes an appearance at Aulani!  Children and families can tell Santa their Christmas wishes and get pictures taken with him, too.  When Santa takes a break for milk and cookies, Goofy Santa steps in.

Wreath Scavenger Hunt

The cast members at Aulani make wreaths that depict some special memory for them at the holidays.  The wreaths are hung up all over the resort, and families can do a wreath scavenger hunt to find them.  After they’ve all been found, you can vote for your favorite.

Disney cast members have so many talents …

these wreaths are so beautiful!

Decorations

Speaking of beautiful, all the decor at Aulani is stunning, and, it’s everywhere! From the outside entry to the stairways and main lobby. Even poolside gets the holiday touch!

Of course you can listen to “Mele Kalikimaka” on your own as much as you like. But be warned - there is a threshold to how many times your kids will go along with it without revolting! I’m pretty sure they never want to hear it again, but it will always make me smile to remember our Hawaiian Christmas!
