Best Disney World Restaurants for Families with Picky Eaters
*From Sami, our teen blogger!
Growing up my siblings and I were always picky eaters. It didn’t matter where we went (even Disney World), at least one of us didn’t like what was on the menu. That’s why I’ve chosen three restaurants that have AMAZINGLY wonderful kids’ meals along with a fun atmosphere that everyone will love.
Garden Grill
Located in Epcot, in the same building with “Soarin'” and “Living with the Land”, this restaurant has an all you can eat family-style menu. Seriously, it’s like an all you can eat buffet but they bring the food to you! The lunch and dinner menu includes Turkey, Pot Roast, Grilled Tilapia, Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, and so much more. Breakfast is Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cinnamon rolls, fruit and more!
The really cool thing about Garden Grill is that most of the food comes from the on property greenhouses down below in Living with the Land, so it’s all fresh and sustainable! The restaurant actually moves very slowly and it takes you through all these cool scenes from the ride below. Garden grill is also a character meal and your kiddos can meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and Goofy.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
This restaurant is located in Hollywood Studios and this is one that my family goes to all the time. The dining tables are made to look like convertible cars at a drive-in and while you eat 1960’s news clips, cartoons and trailers for old movies play on a big screen. This restaurant is made to feel like you’re in a 1960’s drive-in theater and it absolutely feels like it.
The food here is very kid-friendly and it includes burgers, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings and many more classics. The desserts here are also amazing. Can you say MILKSHAKES?!
50’s Prime Time Cafe
Also located in Hollywood Studios this is a super family-friendly sit-down restaurant. 50’s Prime Time serves lots of comfort food like fried chicken, meatloaf, a stuffed pork chop, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and much more. They even have salads if you like that kind of thing.
At 50’s Prime Time Cafe you go back to the 1950’s and 60’s for an old fashioned family dinner. Your waiter or waitress plays the role of your aunt, uncle, or cousin while you eat at the “family table”. The kids might get to see their mom or dad have to go sit in the corner cause they didn’t eat their veggies or sing a song if they are rude. 50’s Prime Time Cafe is a fun family bonding restaurant and is one that will never get old!
